Product Selection - FAQ
When choosing a dog bed, measure from your dog nose to tail and add 15-20 cm. Choose S/M size for small breeds (Chihuahua, Yorkshire), L size for medium breeds (Beagle, Cocker Spaniel), XL/XXL size for large breeds (Labrador, German Shepherd). Orthopedic beds are ideal for older dogs and those with joint problems.
When choosing a scratching post, consider your cat size and activity level. Tabletop scratchers are suitable for small cats, multi-level play structures for active cats. Sisal rope covered ones are the most durable and popular. The height should be at least the size of the cat when fully stretched. Various sizes and designs of scratching posts are available at Zoo28.az.
What you need for your first aquarium: at least a 50-liter tank, external or internal filter, air compressor, thermostat heater (for tropical fish), LED lighting, sand or gravel substrate, water conditioner, fish food and water test kit. Set up the aquarium 1-2 weeks before adding fish to complete the water cycle. Choose hardy fish species (guppy, neon tetra) for beginners.
Leash selection should be based on the dog size and temperament. A harness is safer for small dogs. Wide nylon or leather leashes are suitable for large and strong dogs. The optimal walking leash length is 1.5-2 meters. Retractable leashes are convenient for open areas. The collar should be fastened with 2-finger gap around the dog neck.
The cage should be at least 2 times wider than the bird wingspan. Cages with horizontal bars are more comfortable for flight for parrots. Bar spacing should be 1-1.5 cm for small birds, 2-2.5 cm for large parrots. Metal cages are the most hygienic and durable. The cage should have food bowls, water dish, perches and toys. Place the cage away from drafts and direct sunlight.
